Outreach

In traditional K-12 settings, the geosciences are not emphasized as a viable career path. I am interested in doing outreach targeted at bringing geology to classrooms. Whether is be an in person visit or a "Zoom" appearance, a simple lesson can foster lifelong skills such as observation, problem solving and collaboration. Diversity

For many geologists, their initial interest in the science stemmed from spending time outside. However, many do not have the luxury of being exposed to the outdoors which has contributed to a non-diverse environment in the geosciences. I am committed to fostering a safe, diverse and inclusive environment for all that I work with. I have recently started leading geology hikes in the LA area.
